New Delhi: The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission has launched Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission (PMDHM) today, which includes a health ID for every citizen that will also work as their health account, to which personal health records can be linked and viewed with the help of a mobile application, a Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR) and Healthcare Facilities Registries (HFR) that will act as a repository of all healthcare providers across both modern and traditional systems of medicine. The national digital health mission aims to promote Universal Health coverage. It will also enhance transparency in care delivery as well as access to information for all stakeholders, which in turn could help lower the cost to patients.
- Unique health ID which is linked with the mobile and Aadhaar number – will help maintain a person’s health record. Ease of access can be viewed on the mobile app.

We welcome the announcement of the Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission (PMDHM). The scheme, which envisages providing a unique digital health ID to all people, with their health details, will revolutionize healthcare delivery in India.
