Ramkrishna CARE Unveils Dedicated Cancer Institute at OncoSphere 2.0 in Raipur
Raipur, June 14: In a major boost to cancer care infrastructure in Central India, Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals unveiled its upcoming Ramkrishna CARE Cancer Institute during the inaugural session of OncoSphere 2.0, a national oncology summit attended by over 600 cancer specialists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from across the country.
The dedicated cancer institute is scheduled to become operational in August 2026 and aims to expand access to advanced oncology services for patients across Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states.The facility was unveiled by Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Chhattisgarh Health and Family Welfare Minister, in the presence of senior leadership of Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals and leading oncology experts.
Addressing the gathering, the Health Minister said that strengthening access to advanced cancer care is essential for improving patient outcomes and reducing the need for patients to travel to metropolitan cities for specialized treatment.
According to hospital officials, the institute will offer integrated cancer care services including medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, and supportive care under one roof.
A key highlight of the facility will be the installation of Versa HD™, one of the world’s most advanced radiation therapy platforms, enabling highly precise and personalized cancer treatment.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Dave, Managing & Clinical Director, Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals, said the institute represents the next phase of the hospital’s oncology expansion and aims to position Raipur as a leading cancer care destination in Central India.
The announcement was made during the first day of OncoSphere 2.0, which featured scientific sessions and expert discussions on precision medicine, immunotherapy, artificial intelligence, gastrointestinal cancers, breast cancer, gynecological malignancies, uro-oncology, and emerging treatment approaches in cancer care.
