Central Bank of India donates vehicle to AkshayaPatra Foundation
Hyderabad, 24th January, 2013:Central Bank of India, a leading Public Sector Bank, serving the nation for the last 102 years has extended helping hands to AkshayaPatra Foundation, Hyderabad by donating a Swaraj Mazda Cosmo Vehicle under Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative.
Today, Sri Malay Mukharjee, Executive Director, Central Bank of India handed over the vehicle to the Trustees of AkshayaPatra Foundation, Hyderabad in a glittering function held at Zonal Office Premises of Central Bank of India.
This vehicle will be utilized towards transporting Mid-Day meals to 5000 less privileged children of Patancheru, Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Malay Mukharjee, Executive Director, Central Bank of India said that Central Bank of India has been actively taking part in CSR activities apart from General banking business and assured that Central Bank of India will continue such activities in future towards the betterment of society.
Recently, Central Bank of India received the prestigious “Greentech CSR Award” at Hyderabad. This award was given to Central Bank of India for its active role in CSR activities towards the upliftment of the poor and providing help to needy & weaker sections of the society at Pan-India level.
The programme was attended by Sri Malay Mukharjee, Executive Director, Sri M. Elangovan, Field General Manager; and Sri P. Dharmalingam, Regional Manager; Mr. Vinod Kumar , Chief Manager; Mr. Mallikarjun Rao, Marketing Manager and other staff members.
