Bhavendra Kumar Takes Charge as Executive Director of Canara Bank
Hyderabad: Shri Bhavendra Kumar has been appointed as the Executive Director of Canara Bank, assuming office on October 9, 2023.
Shri Bhavendra Kumar commenced his journey with Canara Bank on 10th March 1997, starting as a Probationary Officer. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), he has traversed a distinguished career path within the banking sector.
His professional trajectory has seen him take on various roles in different states including Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Karnataka, and New Delhi. Moreover, Shri Bhavendra Kumar has a global banking experience, having served at Canara Bank’s Shanghai Branch for a commendable period of 3 years.
Notably, his ascent within Canara Bank has been marked by remarkable achievements. Upon reaching the position of General Manager in 2018, he was assigned to the Head Office in Bengaluru, where he spearheaded the Gold Loan Wing of the Bank. Subsequently, he was promoted to the role of Chief General Manager in 2022, entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Delhi Circle Office, overseeing a business portfolio exceeding 2.5 Lakh crore rupees.
With an illustrious track record and a wealth of experience, Shri Bhavendra Kumar has now taken on the crucial role of Executive Director, further solidifying his commitment to Canara Bank’s growth and success.
