Hyderabad: In a significant event held on October 31, 2023, the Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI) organized a National Workshop addressing ‘Capacity Building in Critical Areas of the Primary Market.’ Held at the National Stock Exchange office in Mumbai, this workshop gathered key stakeholders to discuss the pivotal roles of regulators, stock exchanges, investment bankers, and market intermediaries in capital formation processes.

Dr. Bhagwat Karad, the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Finance, Government of India, acknowledged the Indian capital market’s resilience and its global prominence. He emphasized the substantial role played by AIBI and merchant bankers in advancing the Indian capital market.

Mahavir Lunawat, Chairman of AIBI, highlighted the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders in simplifying IPO documentation, enhancing transparency, and building investor confidence. This workshop paved the way for advocating the orderly growth of the capital market.

Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of the National Stock Exchange, celebrated the rapid growth of Indian stock market investors and credited AIBI and its members for nurturing capital formation.
